I’m not telling you something you probably didn’t already know, but yes, I’m bringing up the subject of Instagram.
Today’s mobile shopper is looking at picture products. Going to the brand pictures familiar with shopping, ie: Target, Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s and more. Product branding, as I’ve mentioned is so important for your Small Business on the internet. Branding by pictures is just as important. Instagram is new on the mobile horizon, but is expected to move right on up to compete with social media as we now know it.
A product of Facebook, Instagram is seeing a rise in consumer signup over the past few months. More and more consumers are using the Instagram App, available on iPhone and Android, as they are using Facebook, Twitter, Google* and Pinterest.
Marketing studies reflect that 80 million consumers are being ignored. Sound like a fair number that can be pulled your way, right? Also, sounds like there’s a need for you to get on board the mobile speed train and get off the platform. Are you up to making the changes necessary to jump ahead? This is your ticket to get your photos noticed, your products seen and stop hitching a ride on the marketing tail when you can be at the head, seeing the potential future and destiny of your store.
Everyone in the retail business as we know, started with a Small Business store or idea, but it’s growth and insight that have led the “giants” of our day, to the forefront. Don’t be left behind due to lack of information, potential and positive energy. You don’t have to have a mega marketing budget to get just as much as the big guys, but you do have to think smart about what are the marketing options around you that can be used to increase awareness about your business.
